Yelapa Waterfalls

Yelapa features two distinct waterfalls accessible by foot from the village.

The main Cola de Caballo waterfall is a short walk from the beach and stands 150 feet tall. For a longer hike, the Upper Waterfall sits 2.5 miles (4 km) up the river valley.

Swimming is only recommended during the dry season from November to May. Summer rains make the river currents dangerous.
